Message from the General Manager

In Golf, a team of Tytherington Members played in The Club Company Inter-Club Challenge held at Lichfield Golf & Country Club, taking second place and moving through to the finals in June at Chartham Park Golf & Country Club – good luck to the team!

Another Golfing success is younger Golf member Remy Miller representing England and playing in the Boys German Open at the end of the month – another fantastic feat for Remy and we also wish him well against his opponents.

In Health & Fitness, member Jessica Forse, who started fencing at the Tytherington Club, is now ranked nationally in the top 20 for U17 girls.  She is now being considered for inclusion on the GB Athlete Development Programme for fencing, the first step towards being selected for the GBR U17 team. She will be travelling to Italy this summer as part of a selected group of talented young fencers to train for a week with the Italian national U20s coach – great inspiration to our junior fencers!

Over the last couple of weeks some members have queried whether there will be closures to any of the main facilities while we undertake the investment work.

I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that it is not our intention to have to close the gym, studios, health and beauty or pool and spa facilities at any point. During the refurbishment of all of the 6 changing rooms we will ensure that there will always be changing facilities available for use.

Likewise, when we are refurbishing the bar and dining areas, an alternative bar will be made available. Inevitably there will be some disruption during this extensive programme of works however we will do our utmost to keep this to a minimum.

We are also pleased to feedback that as part of the current investment at the club, in order to ensure that we work towards our social responsibility and always aim to reduce waste and plastics, we have taken the decision to remove plastic laundry bags and hand towels from our changing rooms.  We believe that this is a decision our members will wholeheartedly support.

Throughout the works we will have information available at reception keeping you updated on progress and future phases and will reinforce this with emails as and when we have further news.

I look forward to seeing you around the club and as always, if you have any feedback please contact me at [email protected]
